This is a coffee plant seen in Florida. It is not the type of plant you get your usual coffee from – this is mostly used to prevent soil erosion near the beach. The seeds also attract birds, but it doesn’t contain caffeine.
We took photos of the coffee plant near the Florida Everglades. It was part of a nature walk, which is why the plant is labeled.
The Wild Coffee plant does not tolerate the cold weather well, and will usually die in temperatures below 32F.

Also know as “Lack of coffee headache”. Most coffee drinkers have experienced this type of headache. This can happen when you have not consumed coffee (caffeine) for 12 to 24 hours. Often the cure is to have a coffee, but if you find that the coffee doesn’t work you may just have a ‘regular’ headache. Taking an asprin for a headache is most often the better choice. …and then have the coffee anyway.

What is the Coffee Party Movement?
This started as an alternative to the Tea Party Movement – a movement which is against the government carelessly spending the taxpayers money.
The Coffee Party has a similar goal, but is not anti-government – it is a movement to attempt to make the government a true voice of the American people. The movement wants to push for positive change in the United States while having a strong political influence. This is a grassroots movement wanting a democratic society in the United States. McDonalds is planning to give many of their current fast food restaurants a makeover. Over the next five years McDonalds plans to redesign thousands of the restaurants in the US to give the interior and exterior a more modern feel. Plans include having plasma TVs and coffeehouse lounge chairs. Their goal is to give the restaurant more of a coffeehouse feel, and less of the ‘cartoon’ look they currently have. This includes less use of the LARGE golden arches and the cartoon-like characters such as Ronald McDonald.
One reason for this …
People are becoming more accustomed to spending less in their daily activities – this includes things like buying coffee at Starbucks. People will either visit less, or spend less when they visit. They also may decide to brew their coffee at home, which is much cheaper than buying it brewed at Starbucks. Shops like this will need less employees, will order less replacement inventory, resulting in manufactures needing to produce less.
People who actually HAVE jobs will be more productive in order to keep their present job. They also will be …
Comparing the cost of home brewing coffee and buying coffee ready made at Starbucks. We compare the cost of using pre-ground coffee.
AT HOME GROUND COFFEE:
Average cost for a 11.5 oz can of ground coffee = $3.00
2 heaping teaspoons to make a single 8oz cup of coffee.
.26 cents per ounce of coffee grounds.
86 heaping teaspoons in an 11.5 oz can.
A 11.5 oz can of coffee will make 43 cups of coffee.
The .10 cent price is a black cup of coffee.
Things to Factor into this Calculation:

Heard on the news that coffee (or the caffeine in coffee) helps to make a woman more ‘in the mood’. The story stated that mice were injected with caffeine, and the female mice had more desire to ‘procreate’. To get the same amount in a human you would have to drink 10 cups of coffee a day.
The funny guy doing the news story said “Hot tub party at my place tonight, FREE coffee for the ladies”.
Too funny! ….wanna go get some coffee??
Here is what you need:
1. Green coffee beans (unroasted coffee beans)
2. Hot air popcorn popper
3. Well ventilated area
4. Metal pot or metal colander for cooling the beans.
Measure about 1/2 cup of green beans.
Turn on the popcorn popper (point the ‘shoot’ in a sink if indoors).
Dump the beans in the popcorn popper like you would for making popcorn.
Leave on for about 3 minutes.
Remove beans and cool in a metal pot ASAP to prevent further roasting!
Let the beans sit for at least 24 hours to reach peak flavor.
