Making Cappuccinos

How do you make the milk foam?

Okay, if you have a cappuccino maker with the mik foamer but don't know how to get the milk to foam-here are some foam making tips:

Use SKIM MILK - the fat in the milk prevents foaming, so whole milk will hardly foam- 1% milk will also work. More fat in the milk equals less foam.

When making the espresso part of a cappuccino don't put the milk under the steamer until the coffee starts to come out into the glass cup.

When you put the steamer spout into the milk you have to keep the whole black tip of the steamer at the surface of the milk - if you put the steamer tip all the way down the bottom of the milk you will only get steamed milk, with no froth. Putting the whole black tip just below the surface allows more bubbles to form which makes more foam!

It is easy.
