Red Berry Tree in Florida

This is a Florida Holly Tree – photo taken at the Walshingham Park in Seminole, Florida.

This is also called a Christmas Berry Tree, and the Brazilian Pepper Plant. This plant/tree can withstand a lack of water and requires lots of sunlight.

The Florida Holly tree is not the Brazilian Pepper Tree. The pepper tree is the trouble maker of the bunch because it takes over so easily. The Florida Holly is a beautiful native ornamental.
