Espresso Makers

Okay, if your coffee informed than you would know that having an espresso maker usually means you also now have a cappuccino maker. The one pictured to the left is a cappuccino/espresso maker because it has the milk frother nozzle on the side.

Nespresso "D150" Espresso Machine, Incl. Bonus

See, here is another espresso maker, but wait, it has a nozzle, so it is also a cappuccino maker. I'd say you may as well get a combo machine anyway, or you may not actually have a choice since they all appear to have that milk frother nozzle whether you want it or not. So I guess every espresso maker is also a cappuccino maker and every cappuccino maker is an espresso maker.

Gaggia 35004 Carezza Espresso Machine

Ah, here is one that is actually CALLED an espresso machine. Wait, it that a nozzle? Okay, it is, so it also makes cappuccinos. Yes, we know, you can make an espresso and add foam and it is NOT a cappuccino, but if you got a milk frother, you got a cappuccino maker, like it or not.

Espresso Drinks

Macchiato - an espresso with a dollop of milk foam. (often called 'marked with milk')
Cafe Americano - two shots of espresso with 6-8 oz. of hot water.
Espresso con Panna - an espresso with a dollop of whipped cream.
Latte - an espresso with lots of steamed milk and milk foam.
Mocha - espresso with lots of steamed milk and then whipped cream.
Cappuccino - an espresso with lots of steamed milk and lots of foam. Some people will say it has very little or no steamed milk and just foam. It depends on where you order it.
Cafe Breve - espresso with steamed half-and-half.
Cafe Freddo - espresso served cold. If you wait to long to drink your espresso it can turn into this.
Cafe Romano - an espresso with a twist of lemon.
Cafe Ricola - an espresso served with a ground up herbal lozenge.
Actually, we just made that last one up. I suppose you could add anything you wanted to an espresso and invent a drink with a cool name. Don't be afraid to experiment.
There are a lot more we could have listed but were gonna stop here.
