A Cappuccino:
One shot of espresso, one equal shot of steamed milk, top with foam. The foam on a cappuccino is usually very frothy, like a merengue. It is recommended to ask for no foam, so you will get more coffee!

A Latte:
One shot of espresso, three (or more) shots of steamed milk, top with a little foam. A latte has more milk than coffee. The foam on a latte is not very frothy, which is why you can make latte art.

A cappuccino and a latte will LOOK the same on top. They both have the same amount of caffeine — the latte is just very mild tasting, like coffee flavored milk.
