This is the new drink at Starbucks, for the non-coffee drinker.
It contains NO coffee! Ahhh.
But, can you make this at home?? Of course!
How to make this drink:
1 whole banana, well ripened so it blends easier
1/2 cup strawberry puree (or about 5 large strawberries)
2/3 cup of milk (use 2% like they do!)
1/3 cup shaved ice, or crushed
1/4 cup Whey Protein (wha??? yeah, not something you can easily find,
try GNC store)
The protein doesn't add to the flavor, but adds a little texture and
makes the drink thicker, and HEALTHIER.
They add fiber powder as well, but not essential to make this. it
does, however, add to the healthiness.
ADD all to a blender, and well, …blend!!!
We recommend, if you make this often, to pre-freeze some strawberries
– helps make the drink thicker and COLDER,
and you can always have them handy.
It is really easy, or you can pay Starbucks like $4 to make it for you.
