When Chobani first was in stores we looked and hoped for the coffee flavor. We even wrote to the company to ask if they have, or plan to have, a coffee variety.
Then we spotted the shelf loaded with greatness. They mastered the Greek with fruit, and they have succeeded in a great non-fruit variety.
No caffeine in this, and a little more sugar than we hoped to see, but the taste is great!
The coffee beans on the container are delicious just to look at in the refrigerator.
A nice small container of cappuccino yogurt, sitting next to the Fage Greek yogurts in the dairy section, just waiting to be purchased.
Yep, we bought the yogurt, before reading how unhealthy the product is for a yogurt.
The taste us good, but the regular Greek yogurts are better.
The bad? The massive amount of saturated fats, 7g, 37% of your daily amount. 50mg cholesterol and 27g of sugar.
Perhaps eating a half stick of cappuccino butter would be just as healthy, or, unhealthy.
Tasted good, a nice coffee flavor …
These are the After Coffee mints sold at the counter at Starbucks. There are 160 of these tiny mints in the metal container. The mint is quite powerful, and sure to eliminate that post-coffee breath we all know and love.
While not an actual coffee product review, it is coffee related. We recommend this over the gum because there are so powerful, and at 150 in a container you’ll be fresh and minty for a long time.
August 2013 – This offer for the free coffee was attached to a large can of Folgers coffee grounds sold in the grocery store. At first look, it seems like the Folgers version of the Starbucks VIA, you know, the ready brew instant coffee which is made from real coffee beans. The pack we got was the Breakfast Blend. The box contained eight individual packets of concentrated coffee – the packets look like the single serve sport drink mixes. With these coffee packets you just need to add hot water …
A new coffee from Brooklyn NY. The Brooklyn Roastery. 100% Arabica coffee.
Decent coffee, but could fall into a novelty type of coffee for those that want something different in the morning.
Will it remind you of the Boardwalk? Maybe, if you have been there before.
Seen these sold it upscale grocery stores, so, get out to somewhere fancy and try this coffee.
Ah, Black Cat Espresso, the espresso you will often hear recommended by those experienced in the home brewing of good espresso. If you judge by the name Black Cat you would think this is over-roasted burnt espresso beans, but Black Cat Espresso not your standard espresso! This has a smooth and mysterious personality unlike all of the other typical espresso beans.
Black Cat Classic Espresso describes itself as a “…syrupy sweet espresso blend“, which is fitting for such a well balanced espresso. Grown in Minas Gerais Brazil, and Ethiopia from Yellow …
A new 2011 energy drink made from spring water. The key features of this water is that it is no calorie, no added color or flavor, just spring water and caffeine. As a lover of all things with caffeine, this one is quite good. One difference between this and carbonated caffeine drinks is that you can drink it faster, meaning you get that near-instant caffeine buzz. Since most college classes do not allow food or drinks, except water, the Zoom Water is college friendly. The photo here is of Zoom …
All new for the 2011 holiday season – Peppermint Mocha from McCafe.
‘Tis the season to get all minty!
The peppermint mocha drink combines chocolate, coffee, and peppermint, along with a nice topping of whipped cream. The mint flavor is minimal, but that is a good thing, because you don’t want to feel like your are drinking a peppermint syrup drink. You get the nice hint of peppermint on the first sip, well not the FIRST sip, as there is that layer of whipped cream.
Drink it near the Christmas tree to get …
November 2011 – Caught a display salesman giving out samples of this inside Sam’s Club, you know, over near the massive containers of almonds. The guy was giving out full 16 oz water bottles with the ZipFizz mix. He only had grape, and orange at this freebie display. Sampled the grape one… With the orange one he mixed some non-dairy creamer with the water to make some sort of cream-sickle flavor.
100mg of NATURAL caffeine!
I’ll take TWO, please.
This drink was ‘okay’, grape (or orange) aren’t ideal flavors.
Tasted like a lightly carbonated …
This was purchased and consumed many years ago and just came across the photos that were taken for review purposes.
The coffee variety here is ‘Black Diamond’, named for the KISS song from their 1st LP. The coffee is appropriately Dark French Roast. As cool as you would think KISS coffee would be, it is just a regular garden variety coffee like Folgers or Maxwell House French Roast. The thing that makes the coffee seem better is having the KISS Coffee bag nearby as you drink the coffee. The psychological effect …
September 2011 – Okay, this ISN’T coffee, but it is caffeine, so think of this review as a secondary coffee review. The Grapefruit Hi-Ball from HiBall, Inc. in San Francisco, California.
The Facts: 10 ounce bottle, 80mg caffeine, 10 calories, and NO sugar.
The Price: .99 cents (it was in the ‘discontinued’ section at the grocery store)
The Sound: Meh, a little fizz, which is standard with a carbonated water.
The Taste: The bottle says Grapefruit, but that taste is barely there, if at all. It is like an invisible fruit taste. The limited …
September 2011 – It’s HOT PUMPKIN LATTE time at the Dunkin Donuts. Scored some coupons so I could try the new latte drink! As you can see, it doesn’t come in a nice holiday cup, but that is okay, it is the coffee that matters.
It was nice and foamy, and had a slight scent of nutmeg. The pumpkin taste wasn’t very strong, that is, until the last sip where the full-on nutmeg HOT PUMPKIN hits you. Overall, a good drink worth trying once during the Fall season.
The Hot Pumpkin Latte
The NEW coffee from Starbucks called ‘The Tribute Blend’ was released for sale in March of 2011. This blend is a special tribute to the Starbucks customers, celebrating the past 40 years of customers who visit Starbucks stores.
The blend is a combination of Ethiopian and Aged Sumatra. The Aged Sumatra is the smokey, darker roast that Starbucks is famous for in their Christmas Blend and Anniversary Blend. The Ethiopian blend is a lighter roast of coffee beans. The combination of light and dark roasted coffee beans were used to create …
A really slick looking aluminum container for coffee. Not much information written in English but you can tell it is COFFEE because it was sold in the coffee section at Disney World, Epcot. The word COFFEE does not appear anywhere on the product.
The Price: $3.99 for 100g, about 8oz
The Smell and Sound: Since it is a cold coffee, there is little smell, and there is no sound (no fizz or anything)
The Taste: Even though the name says Silky Black, we somehow thought it would have some kind of creamer and …
An interesting coffee seen at a local Oriental grocery store – Super Instant Ginseng Coffee.
Price: 5.99 for a bag containing 20 sachets, each sachet making 1 cup of coffee.
Product Information: A product of Singapore, 90 calories per cup of coffee. Contains instant coffee, sugar, instant creamer, and ginseng extract, all in a powder form. Made by Super Coffee Incorporated, Super Coffeemix Manufacturing Ltd.
Smell: Smells like instant coffee.
Taste: The taste is VERY bitter as it appears that ginseng is not a flavor that goes well with coffee.
Review: We though that this …
The GE 5-Cup coffee maker is a digital/programmable coffee maker selling for $20 or less at most department stores. This one has a few extra features not seen in a regular small coffee maker. There is a small charcoal filter in the water compartment, and the coffee makers works as a clock and is programmable. It can be used without programming it, so for those that unplug their coffee maker after each use it will work fine.
It isn’t noisy when it brews coffee, so that is always a good thing. …
We took photos of the ground coffee (Lean Bean) and the freshly brewed coffee. You can only get this pre-ground. Contains freeze dried Nopal Juice, which is what makes this a Lean Bean coffee. It looks and brews just like regular coffee. The photo below is the coffee with skim milk.
The coffee smells like regular coffee, but has a slightly different taste, like a strong coffee.
It is good, but nothing like a freshly ground coffee.
Very hard to find in stores, but there is info here (below) on different Lean Bean …
A hard to find coffee candy. This is Milk Coffee Candy. Bibica brand – Sua Caphe.
The smell: smells sweet, more like a sweet milk. No coffee scent.
The price: $1.49 for 3.5oz bag
The taste: This tastes more like a mild caramel candy than a coffee candy. It is a hard candy, with a soft exterior (may not be intentional). Each candy is individually wrapped, making this caramel psuedo coffee candy a portable sweet. We don’t recommend this as a good coffee candy, mostly because there is no detectable coffee taste or …
